ARKADIA, Arkadian League. Circa 470-465 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 14 mm, 2.85 g, 1 h), Kleitor mint. Zeus Lykaios seated left, holding eagle alighting to left in his right hand and long scepter in his left. Rev. R-A Head of Kallisto to right, wearing tainia and necklace and with her hair tied in queue; all within incuse square. BCD Peloponnesos 1398 (this coin). BMC 5 (same dies). Williams I, 40c (O30/R25, this coin). Very rare. Beautifully toned, of lovely style and with an excellent pedigree. Very fine.
